"The Earth is what we all have in common." – Wendell Berry
Grade 1 students at DPS, GBN joyfully celebrated Earth Day. They participated in the Recycling Rangers activity held on April 22, 2025, under SDG 13-—Climate Action, which taught them the value of reusing waste and protecting the environment. As a group activity, the students created photo frames using old cardboard boxes, dry flowers, and dry leaves. They discovered that waste can be repurposed in creative ways. Additionally, the students participated in an individual leaf-pasting activity, where children used leaves to craft a unique art, expressing their creativity with enthusiasm and joy. The children were enthusiastic and inventive. These activities helped them appreciate the importance of nature while learning small ways to care for the Earth. Through this experience, they realized how minor actions can make a significant difference for the planet. Such efforts help them develop into responsible and caring individuals.
