Earth Day

"Earth Day should encourage us to reflect on what we are doing to make our planet a more sustainable and liveable place”     - Scott Peters

The online Earth Day celebration at DPS-GBN was a resounding success. Held on April 22, 2024, it fostered a sense of environmental consciousness and responsibility among the young learners of Grades Nursery, K1 and K2. Array of creative online activities were organised whereas tiny tots from Grade Nursery designed recycled paper bags, children from K1 created beautiful Earth Day craft and did plantation, followed by the students of K2 wholeheartedly indulged themselves by making seed bombs etc, were the highlights of the celebration. Our children gained a deeper appreciation for the Earth and the importance of preserving its beauty for future generations. They were addressed and reiterated by the importance of 3 R’s- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. This served as one more leaf to the school’s dedication of nurturing not only young minds but also an affection for the planet we call as home for all. The goal was to celebrate sensitivity towards our Mother Earth and create a memorable experience for our children, fostering a playful and light-hearted atmosphere that left lasting smiles on both the kids and their teachers even parents too.
