“Earth Day should encourage us to reflect on what we are doing to make our planet a more sustainable and liveable place.” —Scott Peters
The Earth Day celebration at DPS, GBN on April 22, 2025, was an overwhelming success, instilling a sense of environmental awareness and responsibility in the young learners of Grade K1. Through hands-on activities, engaging demonstrations, and heartfelt pledges, the students developed a deeper appreciation for the Earth and the importance of preserving its beauty for the future. The event highlighted the significance of the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, reinforcing these concepts in a way that was both educational and enjoyable. Activities like nature exploration, creating nature’s wristbands, sowing seeds, and spreading awareness through a unity walk were the highlights of the celebration. These holistic developmental exercises not only engaged the tiny tots but also nurtured their creativity and environmental consciousness. This event added yet another chapter to the School’s ongoing commitment to shaping young minds and fostering a love for the planet we all call home.
