A Visit to Rashtrapati Bhawan
Students of Classes XI and XII went on a visit to the President’s House on Saturday, August 19, 2017 accompanied by their teachers. Students got the once in a lifetime opportunity to explore the remarkable abode and learn about its history and inception.
The students toured the Durbar Hall which acts as a venue for many state events and functions. The North Drawing Room impressed the young visitors as they learnt about its use for receiving visiting Heads of State. The Persian style painted ceiling of the State Ballroom Ashoka Hall was much appreciated by the students. The students enjoyed the tour of the Banquet Hall with a seating of 104 diners and portraits of all former Presidents embellishing the walls. A few other parts of the House were also toured by the students who found the experience to be extremely enriching.
